DEEP IN THOUGHT

Okay everyone, you could technically consider this as being kind of like a rant, but on the other-hand this is more me thinking out loud.

So here it is, I was sitting here on Deviantart earlier today when I stumbled across a chain of comments between multiple deviants complaining how "PETER CULLEN IS THE RIGHTFUL & ONLY OPTIMUS PRIME~!!..." and so on and so forth.

As I'm sure most of you are aware, Peter Cullen is and will always be one of my heros. Proceeding the aftermath of an otherwise dark time in my life (a tale that shall remain un-talked about), I was very alone and isolated. I questioned everything in my life; my values, my morals, my self respect & dignity...EVERYTHING. It was only after by sheer accident I heard Peter Cullen talking during a ComicCon panel on Youtube.
On that faithful night, Peter talked about  why he conducted himself the way he did as Optimus Prime and why he took the role so seriously. he talked about the impact the role had on his everyday life and how it gave him meaning to know that he was appreciated for simply doing something that brought him joy.
It was these words and others that inspired me into trying to follow the same example that Peter Cullen laid out.
For this reason, I have to agree to most in saying that I too believe that Peter is the rightful Optimus Prime.

Knowing this now, here is the thought I had earlier today:

Peter Cullen to the word of most viewers may be seen as the one true voice behind Optimus Prime (I myself agree with this statment); that does not ultimatly give us as vewiers the RIGHT to say that any other voice actor by defult is NOT Optimus. Look at it this way, YES, Peter Cullen best displays Optimus to most people, but that doesn't mean we ALL don't have a little bit of Optimus in us. When we show acts of kindness because we know it's right; that's being Optimus. When we take the initative to lead when it's not always the easiest thing to do; that's being Optimus. When we show compassion and understanding to those that may not always deserve it; THAT's BEING OPTIMUS. Peter Cullen is simply the figure for Optimus by which we all as individuals can relate to, but in all reality Optimus is in every single individual who believes in his teachings. ^^

It's a strange thought I know...but does it not ring some truth?

I guess that's honestly for only you to decide. As for me, I'm going to go eat some chicken strips at The Max before the college closes it's doors for the weekend. Chow kiddies, and ponder on the theories I've given you~ =w=
